WELCOME

"EVERY path may lead you to God, even the weird ones. Most of us are on a journey. We’re looking for something, though we’re not always sure what that is. The way is foggy much of the time. I suggest you slow down and follow some of the side roads that appear suddenly in the mist." Welcome to my blog....!!! I am sorry, this blog in Indonesian. OVER 50 VINCENTIAN BISHOPS SERVED IN CHINA

Less than 40 years after the death of St. Vincent de Paul, the first Vincentians arrived in China. Less than 60 years after his death, the first Vincentian was ordained a bishop in order to serve the Church in China. Of the well over 1,000 Vincentians who have worked in China from 1699 to 1999, 50 have been ordained bishops. The list below is meant to give you an overview of the various areas where they worked and the years when they were bishops.

Note: The names of the confreres are either in their original language or translated into English. Also, for the most part, I use the modern day Mainland China system of romanization of the Chinese characters for the names of places and the names of the Chinese confreres
